About this strain: Baby Jeeter Joints Durban Poison
Durban Poison has deep roots in the gene pool of Sativa landraces. Ed Rosenthal, one of America’s first international strain hunters, first noticed the strain’s historic phenotypes in the late 1970s. But Rosenthal was in South Africa looking for new genetics when he came across a fast-flowering strain in the port city of Durban, according to cultivation legend. So, Rosenthal began sharing his newly imported seeds after returning to the United States and conducting his own selective breeding process on them. Rosenthal gave Mel Frank some of his newly discovered South African cannabis seeds, and the rest, as they say, is history.
But the dense, compact bud structure of Durban Poison is typical of landrace Indica varieties. So, the flowers’ elongated and conical shape is more typical of a Sativa.
